June 2011
What do tea, toast and temps have in common? It has been just over 20 weeks since the devastating floods hit Brisbne and the Lockyer Valley. For many of us, life has moved on and forged ahead. However for about 200 families in the Lockyer Valley life continues to be a struggle as they work hard to return to some kind of normality. Baked Relief is one organisation making a difference. What started out as a humble drive to bake goodies for the army of volunteers and emergency service workers has flourished to a nationwide phenomeon that will warm your hearts like a chocolate brownie. Pure Source Recruitment has joined forces with Baked Relief and we are putting the call out for some kitchen tea relief. Baked Relief continues to provide meals to families in the Lockyer Valley and our aim is to help them rebuild their kitchens while they rebuild their lives. Our wish is to provide each of the families with a new tea pot and a new sandwich maker for their kitchen. For families who have lost everything the simple act of making a cup of tea and a warm toastie is something we want to make a reality. Pure Source Recruitment is asking for donations for new tea pots and sandwich makers. In return, and our way of saying thanks, you will go in the draw to win a High Tea for 4 people at the Sofitel Brisbane. High tea for your kitchen tea goodies. Easy. You can drop off your item to Pure Source Recruitment anytime throughout th emonth of June or to make it even easier, call us and we'll arrange to come out and pick up your donation. Round up your staff, head off to K Mart and help provide some kitchen relief. Tea and toast for all. |
