Cupcakes & Conversations Client Forum - Gender Wars

It's  no secret that men and women communicate differently and for years now we’ve been reading about Mars and Venus.   Our next forum is going to delve into the differences between men and women in the workplace – the contrasts between how we manage, motivate, communicate and work and the challenges we face as a result.

Karen Schmidt (www.letsgrow.com.au) describes herself as a Workplace Gardener and she’s on a mission to grow managers into engaging leaders.

With more than 20 years experience Karen works with current and future leaders across Australia, New Zealand & Asia.  Her clients include Corporate, Government, Small business, Professional institutions, Education & Not for profit.

This session is bound to be interactive, entertaining and thought provoking.  If you work with a member of the opposite sex then take off your gardening gloves and join us.

What do tea, toast and temps have in common?

It has been just over 20 weeks since the devastating floods hit Brisbne and the Lockyer Valley.  For many of us, life has moved on and forged ahead.  However for about 200 families in the Lockyer Valley life continues to be a struggle as they work hard to return to some kind of normality.

Baked Relief is one organisation making a difference.  What started out as a humble drive to bake goodies for the army of volunteers and emergency service workers has flourished to a nationwide phenomeon that will warm your hearts like a chocolate brownie.

Pure Source Recruitment has joined forces with Baked Relief and we are putting the call out for some kitchen tea relief.  Baked Relief continues to provide meals to families in the Lockyer Valley and our aim is to help them rebuild their kitchens while they rebuild their lives.

Our wish is to provide each of the families with a new tea pot and a new sandwich maker for their kitchen.  For families who have lost everything the simple act of making a cup of tea and a warm toastie is something we want to make a reality.

Pure Source Recruitment is asking for donations for new tea pots and sandwich makers.  In return, and our way of saying thanks, you will go in the draw to win a High Tea for 4 people at the Sofitel Brisbane.  High tea for your kitchen tea goodies.  Easy.  You can drop off your item to Pure Source Recruitment anytime throughout th emonth of June or to make it even easier, call us and we'll arrange to come out and pick up your donation.

Round up your staff, head off to K Mart and help provide some kitchen relief.

Tea and toast for all.

Tim Tams for Jim Jams

This month we are supporting the Pyjama Foundation’s Pyjama Drive
and we are calling for your help.  With 30,000 children in foster care and winter fast approaching, the Pyjama Foundation is once again appealing for the donation of brand new PJ’s (sizes from 0000 to young adult).  Next time you are out and about shopping, maybe you could consider popping into Kmart and picking up a cool new pair of pyjamas for a child in need.  The added bonus is that we will come and pick them up from you AND for every pair of pyjamas you give us; we’ll give you a packet of Tim Tams just to say thanks.  Morning tea on us and you are giving to a great cause – how easy is that!
