Environmental Awareness

Issues of environmental sustainability are important to Pure Source Recruitment, and we acknowledge our responsibility to conserve water, lower greenhouse gas emissions, reduce landfill waste and invest in more sustainable forms of energy to ensure a safe and sustainable future for ourselves and our community.

We aim to educate and encourage our staff to continually improve environmentally-responsible workplace practices, and to raise the environmental profile of Pure Source Recruitment.

Environmental initiatives currently in place at Pure Source Recruitment;

  • The use of recycled printing paper, for all printing requirements. Paper used is 50% recycled content
  • A company printing policy to eliminate unnecessary printing of documents and minimise waste
  • Fluorescent and energy efficient light bulbs used throughout the office environment
  • Solar hot water system on site
  • Ceiling insulation installed
  • Computers, Monitors, Printers and general office equipment is shut down and switched off overnight
  • Used printer toner cartridges are submitted to a recycling program


Giving Back & Community Support
At Pure Source Recruitment we recognise and value the importance of providing support to those in need.  Initiatives are in place that allow us to provide financial support to selected charities and not for profit organisations each year.  To date, we have provided support to Boystown, Kids Helpline, RSPCA, National Breast Cancer Foundation, Red Cross, Mission and The Salvation Army.  
In 2008 we donated a percentage of our profits to the victims of the Victorian Bushfires and North Queensland Floods, and we are a Surf Life Saving Silver Guardian of the Surf.  
Internationally we support World Vision Australia.

We know that financial support is not the only way we can help and so in 2009 we established Care to Connect.   
General Manager, Tracey Montgomery is a member of Pro Bono Australia which matches skilled professional volunteers with Not For Profit Organisations.  This allows us to provide Pro Bono assistance to community support groups.  Beyond this, substantially reduced rates are always offered to Not For Profit Organisations who approach us to assist with their recruitment needs.

From the very beginning this has always been our philosophy and we do this by constantly asking ourselves in all of our business dealings – “Is this the best thing for the client or the candidate?”  
Our Ethical Business Practices mean that it has never been, nor ever will be, about making a quick dollar. We have a responsibility to find employers the staff that they need and want, and equally, the responsibility to ensure that we are representing the candidate with their best interests foremost in our minds.  People before profits.  Always.  

Our personal values cross over into our business, and the staff that we employ bear integrity and a personal, genuine desire to do the right thing. This isn’t something we have to instill in them; it is much deeper than that and a quality that must be part of ones character.
