About the Role
Lead the community engagement function of this not-for-profit organisation as the key point contact for community stakeholders, providing relevant information and support to improve engagement and growth over time. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will work collaboratively with a high-performing, fun, and passionate team of professionals to deliver on an exciting growth strategy and extend their footprint state-wide.
Duties & Responsibilities
Act as key point of contact for new and existing member enquiries, providing relevant information and referring to appropriate services and programs
Liaise with a variety of stakeholders that include members, support groups, volunteers, and other contacts within the community
Work collaboratively with the Fundraising and Marketing Manager to establish a membership growth strategy, developing and implementing new and creative ways to engage with members
Database administration and management, collating information and reporting on member and support group data
Visit and present at support group meetings, engaging directly with the community to better understand their needs
Other duties and responsibilities to assist the CEO and broader team as required
Skills & Experience required
Exceptional interpersonal skills will be absolutely essential, as you will be engaging with members, support groups, volunteers and other key stakeholders
Ideally you will have experience in a community engagement role, or be able to demonstrate transferrable stakeholder engagement skills and a desire to make a difference
Ability to work in a self-directed manner to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes
Positive and adaptable attitude, and a willingness to work across other tasks or help others within the team as required
A current driver's licence is essential, as is your willingness to travel to various support group locations as required
You have or are willing to obtain a current Police Check (at the organisation's expense)
