Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for providing guidance and advice to the organisation on people matters and help guide and develop a strong people culture based on the organisation’s values.
Duties and responsibilities
Work ‘hands on’ to manage the Human Resources function for the business – including recruitment, position design, career and succession planning, training and development and performance management
Develop, maintain and promote HR policies and procedures
Facilitate onboarding and induction for new staff
Work in collaboration with Managers to provide support, coaching and advice on HR best practice and all people related matters
Coordinate staff engagement activities
Develop and coordinate the delivery of a program of staff professional development
Work with the Finance team to ensure payroll documentation and records are maintained accordingly
Skills and Experience required
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Management or a related discipline
You have an innate ability to communicate at all levels and your interpersonal skills allow you to foster relationships with a wide range of people within the business
The ability to demonstrate knowledge across the many facets of HR, including recruitment
This is a role that blends both operations and strategy so whilst you can think ‘big picture’ you are also able to work proactively and hands on to get the work done
You are commercially astute and have an energetic and motivated approach to your work. Your standards are high and you seek to work with like-minded people who are enthusiastic, collaborative and engaged.
