About the Role
You will be an essential link in this small yet efficient team. As the payroll officer, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining team member records, payroll, superannuation, and taxation records. Use your well-developed communication skills and understating of legislative payroll requirements to smoothly run this high volume, end-to-end payroll process.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintaining payroll master files, completing them daily in a timely and accurate manner (Including new hires, internal transfers, terminations and employee details changes)
  • Finalizing external forms (Centrelink, child support, separation certificates etc.)
  • Responding to payroll enquiries and resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Escalating any complex issues or questions as applicable
  • Assist with month End Administration and balance, including payroll tax as well as and year-End requirements
  • Assist with Parental Leave / Government Paid Parental Leave requirements
  • Assist with managing Fleet Plus payments, notifying changes in employment, querying information etc.
  • Action various payroll reporting requirements
  • Assist with general payroll ledger and superannuation balances for the finance team and answer related queries
Skills & Experience required 
  • Enjoyment working with an automated payroll system 
  • You have a depth of experience high volume payroll 
  • You have a sound understanding of legislative payroll requirements
  • You will have exemplary time management skills 
  • Building strong stakeholders connections using your clear, concise and friendly communicating style is a foundation of who you are
  • You pride yourself on your high level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Dealing with tight deadlines is second nature 
  • Enjoying problem-solving is a crucial personality trait
