About the Role
Drive exciting new Human Resources initiatives in this newly created position, where you will be well supported and encouraged to make this role your own. Reporting to a knowledgeable Organisational Services Lead who is extremely experienced in HR, you will be trusted to provide full generalist HR support partnering with managers across the organisation, overseeing the development and delivery of learning and development activities and contributing to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide support and advice to managers and employees across all employee lifecycle activities, as well as matters relating to employee / industrial relations and performance management
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of various policies and procedures
Influence initiatives that support employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention
Lead key HR projects relating to HRIS optimisation and reporting metrics
Develop and maintain the annual learning program, with access to external training and support from an established LMS
Partner with managers across the organisation to build leadership and people capabilities
Oversight of payroll (not processing) to ensure it is aligned to applicable industrial instruments
Mentor administration and recruitment support colleagues to create opportunities for development
Skills & Experience required
Relevant qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline, or combination of qualifications and relevant experience
Proven experience in a generalist HR position, providing advice and support at a management level
Some leadership experience would be highly desirable - as you will be working closely with Managers to deal with complex people issues
Flexible approach - someone who can be agile and adapt to managers' different working styles and needs
High degree of emotional intelligence - strong self-awareness, self-reflection, empathy, and the ability to handle difficult conversations will we well-regarded in this role
