About the Role
Use your superior administration skills to make a difference supporting Service Delivery teams who work with vulnerable families currently experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in the greater Brisbane region. As this is a newly created administration role for the organisation, you will be well supported by the Cluster Lead - but it will require someone who has good time management skills, is proactive and who can adapt to changing priorities across the team - while making this role your own over time.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support as required to the appropriate service delivery workers, coordinators and team leaders

  • Take meeting minutes (weekly team meeting)

  • Process various forms and applications to support housing arrangements

  • Sourcing appropriate short term accommodation

  • Update internal case management database or quality management systems as required

  • Work with the Cluster Lead and Team Leaders to establish processes or procedures as appropriate

  • Note: as this is a newly created position, the duties and responsibilities are likely to grow and evolve over time - so will require a flexible and adaptable approach particularly in the early stages of this role

Skills & Experience Required

  • Demonstrated administration and coordination skills, with the ability to work proactively to manage your own daily priorities

  • As this is a newly created role, someone who is flexible and can adapt to changing priorities / requests from multiple teams is a must

  • While experience in the NFP sector would be valuable, this is more about finding the "right person", with qualities including:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to set / manage expectations (though you will get support with this early on)

    • Sense of initiative and strong problem solving skills

    • Someone who is a collaborative team player, willing to help others, and who can pick up new systems or processes relatively quickly

    • Resilience - this will be important in supporting service deliver teams in a newly created role

Benefits & Culture

  • Opportunity to make a meaningful contribution working in the community services sector

  • Make this role your own, in a newly created administration position with plenty of variety supporting numerous service delivery teams

  • Strong sense of community-focused values and culture

  • Join a collaborative, dynamic, hard working and passionate team

  • West End location, close to public transport or paid street parking
