Senior Human Resources Officer - Temporary Ongoing

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Corporate Services Manager, this standalone Human Resources role will provide support with end to end generalist HR functions with a strong focus on managing ER / IR issues and ongoing recruitment and onboarding activities. This is an ongoing temporary role, which is expected to go for a minimum of at least three months - with potential for long term work opportunities with the organisation. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support to management in relation to statutory and industrial requirements, and contemporary HR practices

  • Work closely with appropriate line managers to lead recruitment and onboarding activities 

  • Advise and support line managers with performance management, grievances, disciplinary cases and investigations

  • Contribute to relevant Human Resources projects to support the Corporate Services Manager and Senior Leadership Team

  • Provide guidance and advice to Managers and Employees on HR policies, processes, and operational HR issues

Skills & Experience Required

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline

  • Demonstrated experience working in generalist HR position, with a strong background in supporting ER / IR issues

  • Sense of initiative, someone who is self-motivated and can work autonomously

  • Collaborative work style, with the ability to engage with managers and employees across the business

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the business environment
